Hands-On Mathematics (7.5 or 15 Clock Hours)
In this workshop, participants will learn effective ways to establish a classroom environment that is conducive to teaching/learning hands on math.  Additionally strategies for teaching hands-on math through games, investigations and literature connections will be shared, as well as information regarding how children really learn math.  Finally, participants will increase their understand of how to use a variety of hands-on manipulatives in the K-6 classroom.

Teaching Teens
A Silent Cry for Help: Identifying Warning Signs in our Teenaged Students (7.5 or 15 Clock Hours)
This course will give teachers common warning signs to help them identify when students may need help with issues outside the classroom. It will cover such issues as abuse, drug and alcohol abuse, eating disorders, homelessness, and depression. Teachers will also understand what channels to follow to facilitate getting help for troubled students.
